#Atlantawood
Thriving Children Gala at the Egyptian Ballroom in the Fox Theater, Atlanta Georgia.
These photos are of our owner, Steve Hightower, cutting hair onstage “platform artist” style with:
Ashlee Harris, stylist
Rachel McFadden, stylist
Andi Bell, stylist
I did the model’s makeup with the help of 5 other makeup artists.
This gala was our fourth annual show. Our entire salon helps to put this show on, with the help of a lot of great people! We do this and all the proceeds go to local Atlanta children’s charities. This year our chosen charity was The Center For Children & Young Adults or, for short, the CCYA. This awesome charity takes in homeless kids, kids who have been abused, neglected, or even sexually exploited by their caretakers. Some of these kids have lost their caretakers because of death, mental illness, addiction, or even incarceration. Some of the kids have even run away and been homeless because they couldn’t take their home life anymore. Some have couch surfed, lived out of abandoned homes or even cars. Upon going into CCYA’s care, these children learn how to be loved, they learn proper social skills, they get back in school. They get summer jobs & learn life skills so they can take care of themselves as adults. Many even go on to college with CCYA’s help & guidance. It feels so good to be a part of something so positive! I hope if you couldn’t make it this year you can come next year!

imbecility-is-my-lover101 asked: Hi. I have a small bump in the middle of my lower lip. Its pretty visible. Its sort of hard, skin-colored (almost pink with the lips) and its been there forever (a couple of years) and it doesn't hurt. I have tried exfoilating,I have tried to squeeze it (I know I was bad) and tried to remove it with needles, and God knows what. But it won't go away. I can't even click pictures anymore, and I get embarrassed everytime people ask what it is. Because a bump on your lips obviously looks gross. Help!

This is where I recommend you to see a dermatologist, since I can’t know what this is without seeing it. Thanks for the question. Sorry I couldn’t be more help with this!
