More lash love! This is s before and after of her lashes and brows. I put an Xtremelashes set of 80+ Lashes Per Eye (LPE). I waxed her blonde brows into shape and tinted them. Makes a huge difference on blondes, as you can see. Thanks for looking!

Did Dahlila’s lashes today. I applied 70 LPE (Lashes Per Eye) $300 set.
Don’t ever let anyone dull your sparkle.
Another picture of Alexis’s beautiful eye.
Here’s a beautiful set of XtremeLashes I have been putting on Alexis. She likes her lashes super lush and full, so I apply up to 140 LPE (Lashes Per Eye) on her, which is what she has here in this photo.
What should you expect in an anti aging facial? An anti- aging facial’s priority is to focus on keeping the skin from further aging, turn back time as much as possible, and, most importantly (but most under appreciated), is to prevent further aging. I think really, at its core, professional skin care is all about the prevention of premature aging. Aging more than you should for the age you are at.
One of my favorite treatments since I have started working with Repechage- Beauty From The Sea, is the Vita Cura 5 Phase Firming Facial. I love this treatment because unlike most anti-aging facials I had done in the past, with this one you SEE and FEEL results immediately. Clients don’t have to take my word for it that it is preventing them from aging in the future. The results are immediate and obvious and last. So, how does it work? And, what kind of results would one get?
This is where the ingredients come in. The steps in a facial are typically the same, but the ingredients of each product in each step are what make the difference in the kind of treatment and the results to be had. Since this is anti aging, we are going to expect to see ingredients that help the skin repair itself, turn itself over faster, and to remove discoloration while hydrating the dermis at the deepest levels of the skin. This will promote health of the skin and the healthier the skin, the healthier you look (and the younger you look), and you WILL be healthier.
This facial uses deep hydrators like Shea Butter, Squalene (olive oil).
It uses plants to trigger the hormones in the skin.
It uses patented bio-technology from natural ingredients to repair the skin’s d.n.a. damage.
It uses amino acids to repair damaged collagen. That’s pretty cool. Actually repairing damaged tissue. If you want to try this amazing facial out, you can call me at my salon:
Steve Hightower’s Hair Artist Studio and Day Spa at 404-264-9006.
This is a 75 minute treatment and costs $125.
Hello!
Yesterday I promised you an in-depth look at different kinds of facial treatments and what they do for you. Being an esthetician, I am asked everyday what kind of facial a person should get. Each person and their skin is very different. Just like a doctor would not prescribe just any kind of medication to just anyone, I would never prescribe the same facial treatment or home care products to two different people. This is why its so important for you to have an experienced esthetician you can consult with. My clients know that I will analyze their skin, and, based on their individual concerns recommend them the facial treatments (and frequency) they should get as well as what they need to be using on their skin at home.
Some of the things that make people and their skin so different are the following:
1) the thickness of their skin: delicate, thin, medium, thick, and super thick skin. Delicate and thin skins age must faster and tend to be drier than thick and super thick skins. Thick and Super Thick skins tend to be oilier with bigger pores but less wrinkles.
2) Their age. Obviously what I would recommend to a teenager would be quite different than what I would recommend to an elderly man or woman.
3) Their ancestry. Different skin tones are rated in a very specific way, called the Fitzpatricks’s Scale. This chart recognizes different skin tones can react differently to different stimuli. Some treatments would have negative impact on one skin tone but positive on another.
4) Their lifestyle. Lifestyle is much more important then genes. You may have great genes, but if you live an unhealthy lifestyle you will still age must faster than one with not so great genes but a healthy lifestyle.
5) Their level of health. Someone on a lot of medications will notice side effects, many of which affect the skin. For instance, have you ever noticed that when you take anti-histamines your skin gets really dry and you are more thirsty than usual?
6) Their level of skin care sophistication. I would never recommend someone who only has two minutes to care for their skin the same thing as someone who takes their skin care seriously. The two minute person, I would just make sure they wash their face in the shower with an actual face wash and to apply sunscreen every morning. I’d also recommend them to come in for a facial more often, because their skin will not be getting enough care or nutrients at home.
7) Their expectations. Sometimes people want to come in for a facial treatment because they know they can come in and get some stress relief for themselves. Some people are motivated to get rid of their acne, or even turn back the clock as naturally as they can.
This is a good description of the main things I, or any other well qualified esthetician, would look for when determining a customized skin care program for you without getting into actual skin specifics. These are the broad, most obvious things to start with.
Another set of Xtreme Lashes: on Leah Anne I did 110+ on each eye. I love how her set turned out.
Check back tomorrow to see my series on different kinds of facials. I will be explaining what to expect while getting a facial and what treatments are good for different skin concerns. See you then!
